MARKETING STRATEGY + FRACTIONAL LEADERSHIP
Having people doing marketing isn't the same as having someone leading marketing.
Buildout Marketing helps established, owner-led service businesses build the right marketing strategy and, when needed, lead the team, agencies, and specialists executing it.
Strategy first. Vendor-neutral by design.
01 — THE REAL PROBLEM
You have people doing marketing.
But who is actually leading it?
— Your SEO company focuses on SEO
— Your ad agency focuses on ads
— Someone on your team handles content, social, or the website
And the bigger decisions still land on you.
- Who are our best customer?
- What makes us worth choosing?
- Which marketing activities deserve more investment?
- Which should we stop?
- Are all of these people even working toward the same goal?
A collection of marketing activities isn't a marketing strategy. And the owner shouldn't have to be the person holding it all together.
02 — WHAT I DO
Strategy first.
Everything else follows.
Before adding another tactic, campaign, or vendor, get clear on who you want to reach, why they should choose you, and what marketing should actually be doing.
Understand your best customers
Interview you and several of your best customers to uncover what they value, why they chose you, and what makes your business different.
Map the customer journey
Identify how prospects move from awareness to trust, purchase, repeat business, and referral—and where marketing needs to support that journey.
Clarify your positioning
Define your ideal customer, differentiation, core message, and the reasons the right buyer should choose you over the alternatives.
Build the 90-day plan
Prioritize the few marketing initiatives that matter most, clarify ownership, and give your team and vendors clear direction.
Identify where leads are leaking
A clear-eyed audit of your funnel — from first touch to signed contract.
Prioritize what to fix first
Focus on the changes that move revenue. Skip the noise.
Build a clear 90-day plan
Specific actions, owners, and timelines. Not a 40-page deck.
Guide implementation
Work alongside your team or vendors to make sure it gets done.
03 — case study - salon lofts
Better marketing decisions can improve results without increasing spend.
Salon Lofts already had marketing activity in place. The opportunity wasn’t simply to do more — it was to improve channel focus, lead quality, and follow-up so the existing effort worked harder.
Shifted from Facebook toward higher-intent Google search.
Improved follow-up process and response consistency.
Improved visibility into what was actually driving revenue.

05 — about
I’ve spent years working inside the tactics.
That’s why I believe strategy has to come first.
I’ve worked across paid advertising, SEO, websites, lead generation, and other parts of digital marketing. I’ve seen good specialists produce good work that still doesn’t add up to a coherent marketing system.
The problem usually isn’t a lack of activity. It’s that nobody is stepping above the tactics to decide who the business should pursue, how it should be positioned, what deserves priority, and how the pieces should work together.
That’s the role I built Buildout Marketing to fill.
